Collaborating With Therapists & Care Teams

Supporting neurodivergent children, women, and families works best when systems and skills align.

At Your Declutter Coach, I collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Counselors, Educators, and other care professionals to help clients translate therapeutic goals into practical, sustainable home systems.

How We Work Together

Professional Organizers and Occupational Therapists serve complementary roles.

  • Professional Organizers create supportive environments, routines, and systems that reduce overwhelm and build daily life skills.

  • Occupational Therapists support the development of functional skills—such as regulation, executive function, and independence—so clients can successfully engage with their environment.

When these roles work together, clients experience greater follow-through, reduced stress, and increased confidence in daily life.

What Occupational Therapists Are Saying

I’m a pediatric Occupational Therapist and had the opportunity to work alongside Wendy while supporting three autistic children. Through thoughtful decluttering and organizing, she supported executive functioning skills like organization, sequencing, and follow-through in a really meaningful way. The environments and systems she created reduced overwhelm, made routines easier to manage, and had a noticeable impact on the children’s daily functioning! She’s compassionate, intuitive, and a wonderful collaborator. I highly recommend her to families, especially those supporting neurodivergent children!

My Role on the Care Team

My work focuses on implementation and environmental support, not therapy or treatment.

I help clients:

  • Apply strategies recommended by their care team

  • Create systems that support executive function and regulation

  • Develop sustainable routines in real-life settings

  • Reduce clutter-related overwhelm that interferes with daily functioning

This allows therapeutic progress to extend beyond sessions and into everyday life.
