WENDY’S STORY
Wendy Zanders is Your Declutter Coach and Professional Organizer who is passionate about helping special needs families like hers collect memories and experiences, NOT things. She is also a wife and a mother of two young children. An underperformer in grade school due to undiagnosed attention deficit disorder (ADD), she worked hard and surpassed the expectations of everyone around her.
The Journey
After enlisting in the United States Army in June of 2000, Wendy found that she had a knack for systems and organizing. she excelled as a Unit Supply Specialist and Unit Armorer, where she was able to use her innate talent for organizing to keep her unit’s stocks categorized and arranged. When she received high praise for her work, she began to see how much her skills and talents were needed. She also met her husband, a fellow United States Army soldier, while serving.
Always a generally neat and tidy person, Wendy was shocked by how her home fell into disarray after suffering through several episodes of depression. After her nephew passed away in December of 2015, Wendy went through a period of depression that went undiagnosed for over a year. That struggle has helped her understand and empathize with her clients who struggle with cluttered and disorganized homes due to diagnosed or undiagnosed depression. She decided to combine the knowledge gained from her own personal experience with her aptitude for organizing to become a Professional Organizer and Declutter Coach in 2017.
Today
Wendy now helps special needs families like hers get organized by helping them identify what has created the clutter in their lives, and by helping them create systems so they can get back in control of their possessions and homes.
I am happy to be the coach in your corner, so you feel happier and calmer in every room of your home. I walk you step-by-step through the process so you feel encouraged, confident and EXCITED about organizing your space.
Wendy is compassionate and non-judgmental, and walks clients through each step of the process. After working with Wendy, clients are empowered to follow her big rule, “Collect Memories and Experiences, NOT Things.”
Homeschool Mom
Wendy has been homeschooling her kids since 2019. They started their journey as Keyshon started 6th grade and Azaniah started Kindergarten. They do interest base learning because there is not a one size fit all approach in their home
Keyshon is 16-years-old. He is a homeschool graduate and a Professional Welder with dreams of someday owning his own welding business. She continues to advocate for Teens that’s looking to pursue Trades.
Azaniah is 10-years-old. She is exploring the science world to determine what type of scientist she wants to be.

The heart of We Are Brave Together is to strengthen, encourage, inspire, and validate all moms of children with disabilities through their unique and difficult caregiving journeys. To be a caregiving mom is to be a mother who cares for any child or adult child with any type of challenge: medical, mental, behavioral, genetic, developmental, psychiatric, learning, cognitive, or physical. The We Are Brave Together community is woven with one common thread; we are here to support and strengthen one another. Our hope is that every caregiving mom leaves a Brave Together retreat, gathering, workshop, support group or online event feeling both recharged and empowered.
