Life Skills Decluttering for Homeschoolers
Gentle, one-on-one support that helps children build independence, confidence, and real-life organizational skills—at their own pace.
ESA - and scholarship-friendly tutoring for homeschooling families nationwide.
Who This Support Is Designed For
This service is a great fit if:
Your child is homeschooled and struggles with clutter, organization, or overwhelm
You want to teach life skills, not just “clean up”
Your child learns differently (ADHD, Autism, executive function challenges, or simply needs structure)
You’re using an ESA, scholarship, or education funding program (state names optional here)
This is not about perfection.
It’s about learning skills your child can use for life.
What Makes This Different
This isn’t about quick clean-ups, rigid systems, or forcing a child to “just be organized.”
I work one-on-one with homeschool students to teach decluttering and organization as real-life skills—at a pace that honors how your child learns, processes, and moves through the world.
Instead of doing the work for your child, we work together to build skills that last:
Decision-making and follow-through
Emotional regulation around belongings
Systems your child can understand, use, and maintain
Confidence and independence over time
There is no rushing. No shaming. No one-size-fits-all approach.
This support is designed to meet your child where they are today, so they can grow into skills they’ll use for life—not just pass a clean-room check.
How Virtual Support Works
Virtual Support
Virtual sessions are available statewide and nationwide via Zoom.
Support is provided through virtual sessions, designed to move at a pace that feels manageable and encouraging to your child.
How it begins:
Start with a free 20-minute consultation
Identify priority spaces or life skills
Create a realistic starting plan together
During sessions:
We work virtually in your child’s space
Focus on one space or one skill at a time
Sessions adapted to your child’s learning style & energy
Parents involvement as needed (age or ability)
Clear guidance and coaching in real time
No rushing. No pressure. No shame.
Virtual support offers flexibility while still providing structure, accountability, and personalized coaching.
The Framework
All sessions use my Flexible Life Skills Framework, which provides:
Clear, simple steps
Visual structure and guidance
Gentle accountability
Skills your child can practice between sessions
The goal is not short-term results, but long-term independence—helping your child build habits and systems they can use in daily life.

Credibility & Trust (OT Testimonial)
“I’m a pediatric Occupational Therapist and had the opportunity to work alongside Wendy while supporting three autistic children. Through thoughtful decluttering and organizing, she supported executive functioning skills like organization, sequencing, and follow-through in a really meaningful way. The environments and systems she created reduced overwhelm, made routines easier to manage, and had a noticeable impact on the children’s daily functioning! She’s compassionate, intuitive, and a wonderful collaborator. I highly recommend her to families, especially those supporting neurodivergent children!”
Education Savings Accounts & Scholarships
Families often use education funding, such as Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) or state-based scholarship programs, to pay for this service.
Accepted programs and approval requirements vary by state and provider.
Services are billed as Life Skills / Organizational Tutoring, which commonly aligns with approved life skills or educational support categories.
Because each state’s program handbook is different, the specific structure of services may vary based on your state’s guidelines.
Parents are responsible for confirming eligibility with their scholarship or ESA program.
If you’re unsure, we’ll talk it through during your free consultation and help determine whether this service is a good fit for your funding program. Families may also reference my ICD Certificates page when requesting pre-approval, and we can discuss what documentation is needed during the call.
Meet Wendy Zanders - Your Life Skills Declutter Coach
Professional Organizer • Life Skills Tutor • Special Needs Mom • U.S. Army Veteran
As a homeschooling parent raising neurodivergent children, I understand firsthand how ADHD, Autism, Executive Functioning challenges, and Life Transitions can make everyday organization feel overwhelming for both students and parents.
Growing up with undiagnosed ADD, I was often labeled distracted or unfocused. Over time, I learned how to create practical, flexible systems that helped me thrive academically and later excel in the U.S. Army as a Unit Supply Specialist (92Y) and Unit Armorer, where organization, structure, and accountability were essential.
My journey as a homeschool parent: Supporting my children through diagnoses, transitions into adulthood, and changing needs has deeply shaped how I work with families today. I don’t believe in forcing systems or rushing progress. I believe in meeting students where they are and teaching skills they can actually use.
Today, I help homeschooling children and teens learn how to manage their spaces in ways that work with their brains, not against them. My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in real life, not Pinterest perfection. The focus is always on building confidence, independence, and life skills that last.
What Families Notice Over Time
Less resistance around organizing
More confidence and independence
Calmer routines
Skills that transfer into daily life
Progress looks different for every child—and that’s okay.
You don’t need another system.
You need support that meets your child where they are
Navigating the decluttering process with your child doesn't have to be a solo effort.
Whether your child is neurodivergent, struggling with overwhelm, or simply learning how to manage their space, support makes all the difference.
Together, we’ll take this one step at a time — creating calm, organized spaces that support your child’s independence, confidence, and daily routines.
Decluttering doesn’t have to feel stressful or overwhelming anymore. With gentle guidance, realistic expectations, and a pace that works for your family, we focus on building life skills that last — not quick fixes.
You don’t have to do this alone.
Your Declutter Coach,
Wendy Zanders
